Commercializing Technology:
Turning Knowledge into Wealth
 This three-day course will provide participants with an understanding of the issues organizations face when turning ideas, knowledge, research and technology into viable business propositions. It will offer practical working solutions on the process of turning ideas into commercial reality.
 
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The course will be of interest to those individuals with an idea that can be the basis of a possible new or extended business venture. It will benefit entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, research and technology managers, researchers, CRI representatives responsible for commercialization, business development managers, public sector officials responsible for stimulating economic development, investors and academics. It will also be of interest to existing business operators interested in growth, diversification and improved profitability. Participants will not be required to disclose any confidential or commercially sensitive information to the presenters or course participants.

Program
The course will consist of interactive lectures by experienced and knowledgeable practitioners, supported by group discussions and exercises. Participants will complete a workbook that will assist them to apply the principles of commercialization to their own business environment.
